Birth-to-Three Parent and Me Therapy Group
A supportive group for parents to learn, connect, and allow children to play.
Description:
A supportive group for parents of young children with Down syndrome to connect, share experiences, and learn about developmental milestones in social-emotional and language skills. This 6-week parent-and-child series is designed for families of young children with Down syndrome. Each 45-minute session combines opportunities for peer interaction for children with valuable learning and discussion for parents. Guided by the DIRFloortime® framework, parents will explore the five developmental capacities that form the foundation for communication, social-emotional, and language development.
What to Expect:
Children engage in a nurturing play environment with peers.
Parents learn to recognize the small but powerful steps towards communication.
Each week includes a learning focus, opportunities for connection with other families, and practical strategies to use at home.
The atmosphere is casual and comfortable, while also providing expert guidance and space for your individual questions.
