One of the most desired things of living in the Pacific Northwest is the variety of Recreational activities. There are numerous organizations that cater to individuals with disabilities:

Special Olympics of Washington

Shadow Seal Swimmers

Highland Community Center- Offers a range of classes for adults with intellectual disabilities to facilitate community participation. Examples of classes include arts and crafts and cooking. Also offers informal social opportunities such as bingo night and dinner and movie community outings.

Little Bit Therapeutic Horse Riding Center- Offers adaptive horseback riding lessons for individuals with disabilities.

Friendship Adventures -Provides social, recreational, and educational activities for individuals with developmental disabilities. Examples of previous events include tie dying, fiber art making, hand painted card making, and more!

Trips Inc. -offers all-inclusive vacation packages for travelers ages 18 and older with developmental and intellectual disabilities. They work with travel advisors amongst other team members to plan all aspects of a vacation.

Vibrant Palette Arts Center - Parkview Services - a progressive art studio in Seattle that provides artists with disabilities the opportunity to create in a supportive studio environment, professionally exhibit their work, and sell their artwork.
