Social Connection Groups

Small social groups to foster meaningful relationships.

Description:

Co-led by DSC’s two speech language pathologists (with each therapist alternating leading sessions), our Social Connection Small Groups support individuals with Down syndrome ages 4-17 years to build meaningful friendships and social skills through play and peer connection. These small, intentionally paired groups, limited to 2–3 participants, are thoughtfully matched based on shared interests, communication styles, and compatibility. Each individual works towards their own social/communication goal served in a small group context which allows for sessions to be tailored to what each child actually needs.
